RESLINK TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED ("Reslink", "we", "us", or "our") runs the Reslink website (reslink.org), the Reslink web app (reslink.in) and the Reslink iPhone app. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, how long we keep it, and how you can delete your account.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, phone number, company name, and an account ID we give your account
  • Login and subscription details
  • Photos and files you upload, including electricity bills
  • Your work: the designs, proposals, project details and customer records you create
  • Site location: when you tap the button to use your current location, we read the precise location of your device and send it to Google Maps to look up the site's address
  • Approximate location: the rough area you are in, such as your city or country, which our analytics tools work out from your IP address
  • Usage data: which screens and features you use, session recordings (a replay of what you see and do in the app, including what you type, except passwords), crash reports and speed measurements
  • Device information: browser type, IP address, operating system
  • Payment information: billing details, processed securely through PayU

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • To send you login codes by SMS and email
  • To look up the address of your site
  • To process transactions and manage your subscription
  • To send you updates, technical notices, and support messages
  • To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • To monitor and analyze usage trends to improve user experience
  • To measure how well our advertising works
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraud

3. Who Helps Us Handle Your Data

We share your data only with the companies that help us run Reslink, and only what each one needs to do its job:

  • Google Maps: maps and address lookup, including your site location when you tap the button to use your current location
  • OpenAI: reads the electricity bills you upload with AI Upload and fills in their details, such as the customer's name and address
  • NASA POWER and the European Commission's PVGIS: receive the location of each project site, to estimate how much solar power it can produce
  • PostHog and Microsoft Clarity: usage analytics and session recordings
  • Sentry: crash reports
  • MSG91: sending login codes by SMS and email
  • Amazon Web Services: file storage
  • OneSignal: push notifications in the web app
  • Capgo: delivers updates to the Reslink iPhone app. It receives a random ID the app creates for your phone, plus the app and iOS versions, so it can send the right update
  • PayU: payment processing
  • Meta: advertising on our website. Reslink sign-ups are reported to Meta, with the email address and phone number used, so we can measure our ads. So are proposals sent from the web app
  • Google (Analytics, Ads, Sheets and Calendar), Mixpanel and Zoho CRM: on our website, to count visits, record sessions, measure our ads, and handle demo bookings
  • RB2B (from Retention.com): on our website, works out which people and companies are visiting from the United States, and tells us
  • Partner companies your company chooses to connect to Reslink: the projects you send to them
  • Law enforcement or regulatory bodies, when required by applicable law

These companies must protect your data at least as well as this policy does.

4. Cookies & Tracking

We don't sell your data. The Reslink iPhone app doesn't track you across other companies' apps or websites.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our platform and improve your experience. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of the platform may not function properly without cookies.

When you visit or log in to our website, cookies and similar technologies may be used by our online data partners or vendors to associate these activities with other personal information they or others have about you, including by association with your email. We (or service providers on our behalf) may then send communications and marketing to these email addresses. You may opt out of receiving this advertising by visiting https://app.retention.com/optout.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data within 7 days. Copies in our backups are removed within 30 days.

6. How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account at any time, in any of these ways:

  • In the Reslink iPhone app: open My Projects, tap the account button in the top right, then tap Delete account
  • In the Proposals part of the app: open Settings, then tap Delete account
  • By email: write to team@reslink.org and ask us to delete your account

We complete every deletion within 7 days.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing at any time

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
